Sport has always been my passion

I am a keen marathon runner (3 hr 14 personal best) and fitness fanatic! From a young age I participated and received awards in swimming, gymnastics, netball, karate, tap dancing, theatrecraft, freestyle and pantomime dancing.

I became a keen cross country runner in local running and athletics clubs as a teenager and have competed at County level in the South of England Cross Country Championships. I still run to this day taking part in my local Parkrun event, 10k, Half & Full Marathon races.

I have been in the wellness industry for several years

I have had my foot in the door since 2005 where I did work experience with Impulse Leisure in Sussex, was involved in local 'take part' sport campaigns & attended 'step into sport' conferences in the county. I coached school children in rugby, netball, football & athletics and I am a qualified fitness instructor; where I worked as a Circuit Coach with Curves Ladies Fitness for over 5 years.

Career transition

I got injured playing netball as a teenager and generally suffered from several sporting niggles. It was at this time where I received great help on my rehabilitation from therapies through NHS Physiotherapists and sports massage at events. I have always found massage therapy to be a hugely beneficial and fascinating experience; it has been a savior when I have needed a physical, mental and emotional boost.

My Father has been physically disabled since 1989 after a severe road traffic accident. Throughout my life since, I have seen him slowly deteriorate in physical health and really wanted to make him proud. I wanted to make a difference to his life of pain which is the reason closest to my heart why I enrolled into the work I am doing today.

Having always had an interest in health & well-being, combined with my anatomical & physiological knowledge, my profession in the industry and my nature to want to help others; in 2010 I willingly began channelling my energy into pursuing a career in massage therapy which I truly love still to this day.
